What does itchy skin usually cost?
An exam, allergy testing, a skin biopsy and dispensed medication are priced. Named allergy drugs are not procedure lines.
This page describes typical costs. It is not a diagnosis and it does not say what your pet needs. Only a veterinarian who has examined your pet can do that.

What this usually means
Itching can come from fleas, food, pollen or a skin infection. Those look similar at home. A clinic tells them apart with an exam and, when it needs to, with tests.
FairVet prices the exam, allergy testing, a skin biopsy and a medication-dispensing line. A named drug is not its own procedure. Some take-home drugs have a per-unit price on the medication pages.
Why the bill varies
- A single exam is a different bill from allergy testing or a biopsy.
- Long-term itching often means repeat visits and refill medication. Each of those is its own charge.
