A typical vet bill, state by state
Each state's median verified bill, divided by the national median bill. 1.20× means a typical bill there comes to about 20% more than a typical bill nationally; 0.90× means about 10% less. A state appears only once 300 verified bills from its clinics are in — fewer than that and one unusual clinic could move the number.
No state has 300 verified bills yet, so there's nothing to compare honestly. States are added here as they reach it.
